 align: center\;'>Bridget Trosin of Washington Sea Grant is working with co
 mmunities and organizations on the coast of Washington to provide informat
 ion about the State’s initiative on marine spatial planning.   They\, alon
 g with The Nature Conservancy\, are reaching out to the local community to
  hear their input\, concerns\, suggestions and advice on this topic.</p>\n
 <p style='text-align: center\;'>Marine spatial planning is a process for c
 oordinating decisions for coastal and ocean activities and uses into a com
 prehensive plan.  The Washington state law outlines some basic principles 
 and requirements to guide a marine spatial plan\, which will be the buildi
 ng blocks for setting goals and objectives of the planning process for Was
 hington’s coast.  This includes requirements such as honoring tribal treat
 y rights and existing uses.  The law also specifically requires marine spa
 tial plans to address the siting of marine renewable energy.</p>\n<p align
 ='center'>Meetings are open to the public and are held at JT’s Sweet Stuff
