Forks has long been famous for its observance of Independence Day, including a parade down “main street”. So step back in time and enjoy a Forks Old-Fashioned 4th of July tradition that you will never forget. Rain or shine, the town pulls out all the stops and a great time is had by all!

FUN WEEKEND EVENTS like an arts & crafts show, horseshoe & cribbage tournaments, frog jump, kiddie playday, sack toss & more LEAD UP TO a great Independence Day celebration with the Kiddies Parade, Grand Parade, Lions Club Salmon Bake, demolition derby and a fantastic fireworks show at Tillicum Park!

Saturday, June 30, 2012

8am – Forks 4th of July Fun Run Registration.  Run starts at 9am from the parking lot on the corner of Forks Avenue and C Street (behind Mocha Motion).  Walk or run 1 mile, 5K or 10K.  Registration fee $25 with shirt or $10 with no shirt.  All proceeds going to Relay For Life.  Call Bobbi 360-640-0538 or Tina 360-640-2057 to pre-register.

8:30am – Horseshoe Tournament sign-ups at Tillicum Park.  Tourney begins at 9am.

3pm – City Slickers vs. Forks Outfitters Softball Game Fundraiser benefitting West End Youth League.  Tillicum Park Ball Fields.  WEYL Concessions open.

5pm – Frog Jump at Tillicum Park.

6pm – Cribbage Tournament, VFW Hall, 110 S. Spartan Avenue.

All Day – Window Decorations viewing sponsored by West End Business & Professional Association.

Sunday, July 1, 2012

9am – Bean Bag Toss at Tillicum Park.  $30 entry fee (1/2 going to charity)

Noon to 2pm – Kiddies Play Day at Tillicum Park sponsored by the Forks Lions Club.

Noon to 4pm – Arts & Crafts Show at the DNR Conference Room, 411 Tillicum Lane.  Sponsored by West End Art League.

Monday and Tuesday, July 2-3, 2012

Noon to 4pm – Arts & Crafts Show at the DNR Conference Room, 411 Tillicum Lane.  Sponsored by West End Art League.

All Day – Window Decorations viewing sponsored by West End Business & Professional Association.

Independence Day, Wednesday, July 4, 2012

8am – Check in for Grand Parade at Forks Transit Center Parking Lot

7am to 10am – Annual Forks 4th of July Elks Breakfast at Forks Elks Lodge, 941 Merchant Rd.

10am – Final Entries, Grand Parade

10am to 4pm – Arts & Crafts Show at the DNR Conference Room, 411 Tillicum Lane.  Sponsored by West End Art League.

10:30am – Parade Judging, Forks Transit Center Parking Lot

11am – Check in for Kiddies Parade,  Bank of America Parking Lot.  Sponsored by Forks Emblem Club.

11:45 am – Kiddies Parade, Bank of America Parking Lot.

Noon – Forks Old-Fashioned 4th of July Grand Parade.  Begins at Forks Transit Center Parking Lot and goes north on Forks Avenue.  Rain or Shine!

1pm to 4pm – Salmon Bake at Tillicum Park.  Sponsored by Forks Lions Club.

3pm – Demolition Derby at Tillicum Park Arena.  Gates open at 2pm.  Tickets $8 and can be purchased at the gate or at the WEYL Fireworks Stand.

4pm – Quilt Raffle at the Visitor Information Center, 1411 S. Forks Avenue.  Proceeds benefit American Hero Quilts.  Tickets $1 and are available at Chinook Pharmacy and the VIC.

6:30pm to Dusk – Music in the Park.  Tillicum Park.

Dusk – Forks Old-Fashioned 4th of July Fireworks Show at Tillicum Park.

7pm to 11pm – Celebrate with downtown merchants when they say “Thank you for shoppinng in Forks!” during Moonlight Madness.  Merchants will have special bargains, gifts and prizes.  Don’t miss this exciting event sponsored by West End Business and Professional Association.
