    RainFest Library Events

    Forks Library Presents Celebrate the Arts!

    The Forks Branch of the North Olympic Library System will join the Forks community in celebrating the arts on Saturday, April 26 with activities scheduled for all ages.

    From 10:30am to 1pm, local spinners will be on hand to demonstrate methods for spinning wool into yarn. Spinning wheels, drop spindles, a variety of fiber types and completed projects will be on display.

    At 1pm, multi-talented Dennis McGregor, the featured artist of the 2014 Fabric of the Forest Quilt Show, will read, sing and share samples of his quilt inspired artwork. McGregor’s work is featured on this year’s Fabric of the Forest Quilt Show promotional poster. He is also the author and illustrator of Dream Again, a children’s book featuring a brave young Oregon Trail pioneer and her treasured quilt. After his presentation, Dennis will be available to sign copies of his book and artwork.

    Other activities at the library will include make-and-take crafts for all ages, book displays and more!

    This is a two day event for all types of classic, sports and muscle cars that will encircle the entire Olympic Peninsula starting out at the Dock Street Garage in Poulsbo with the first night’s stop at the Day’s Inn Motel in Port Angeles. 

    This is a free event and does not cost anything to participate, we just want to have a great weekend driving around the peninsula and checking out all the great places to see and things to do.

    We’ve created a new domain and website located at

    http://www.peninsulapowertour.com and will be adding content, photos and new information once we finalize the stops.
