September 20, 2017 “Potato Propagation!” with Muriel Nesbitt, retired professor of biology from University of California and WSU Master Gardener.
October 18, 2017 “Orchids in the Home” with Lorrie Hamilton, Program Coordinator for Clallam County Master Gardeners.
November 15, 2017 “Christmas Designs” Centerpieces will be made for the Senior Luncheon and the Forks Long-Term Care Facility. Led by Laura Lafrenz who earned her degree in design from the University of Idaho.
December 20, 2017 “Beauty Products from Herbs” with Candy Bettelyoun. Candy has been making lotions, creams, and soaps in her home for 27 years using organic products
January 17, 2018 “Roses, Roses, Roses” with Nora Alwarth, who is an experienced speaker with a love of roses. and Laura Farrell, who is a 4th generation rose gardener.
February 21, 2018 “Feed the Birds” potluck. Speaker Katie Kruger earned her degree from Northwestern in environmental law. All bird seed donations are delivered to the long term care facility.
March 21, 2018 “Building your own Pond” with Christi Baron.
April 18, 2018 “Creating Flowers from Recycled Material” with Dee Sudduth, PA garden club member.
May 16, 2018 “Using the Elements of Design in Floral Arrangements” with Judi McClanahan, Master Judge
June 20, 2018 Our end-of-the-year celebration.
In addition, the club sponsors the Annual High Tea on Saturday, February 3, 2018 from 1:00-3:00 pm at St. Anne’s Catholic Church. Donations accepted for this event.
Also our plant sales are scheduled for October 7 and May 19.
The club’s 75th anniversary is scheduled on Saturday, September 23, with the location tbd.
