Volleyball is a great activity for promoting resiliency both individually and as a community. Some of the motions we do during a volleyball game include bilateral movement which is proven to decrease anxiety, make problems feel more distant, and promote relaxation. Playing with a team is also a great way to build social connections and the event will overall bring us together as a community. The more we can do for ourselves and each other to be physically, mentally and emotionally well, the more we will be able to meet and overcome adversity.
