Do you love browsing cookbooks? Would you like a reason to learn to cook or try something new? Then join the Read and Eat Gathering on the fourth Monday of every month (except in May) at the Clallam Bay Branch Library at 6:30pm. Checkout a cookbook based on the theme then prepare a yummy creation to share at the gathering. Come hungry and ready to discuss your chosen cookbook! Bringing your own place setting is also encouraged, but not required. On Monday, April 29, the Read and Eat Gathering theme will be “Mexican Cuisine.” Here are some suggested titles for the current theme:
• Mexican Today: New and Rediscovered Recipes for Contemporary Kitchens by Pati Jinich
• Pati’s Mexica Table: The Secrets of Real Mexican Home Cooking by Pati Jinich
• Gran Cocina Latina: The Food of Latin America by Maricel E. Presilla
• Tacos, Tortas, and Tamales: Flavors From the Griddles, Pots, and Street-Side Kitchens of Mexico by Roberto Santibanez, JJ Goode and Todd Coleman
