FTF T-Shirt Quilt Class

Date:  September 8th & 9th, 2020– Forks Congregational Church

10:00 am

Fabric Requirements:

9 or 12 T-shirts (If using images from both the front and back, you’ll need fewer T-Shirts.)

½ yard per shirt – 911FF Pellon Fusible Featherweight (Non-woven iron-on interfacing) (We will be cutting the fusible into 14 ½” squares.)

12 shirts – 1/3 yard cuts assorted prints (4 yards for 12 shirts) You can use same background fabrics as long as there is contrast with the shirts.

(Each shirt requires 1/3 yd cuts.)

1/2 yard for the inner border

2 1/3 yards for the outer border and binding

  • Pre-wash shirts and fabrics. Do not wash the Fusible.


2 – 4 ½” wide WOF strips from each print fabric.


Tools & Notions:  Ruler – 6 ½” x 24” or 6” x 12”, rotary cutter and mat, scissors, sewing machine, 12 ½” x 12 ½” Square Up Ruler, Pressing Cloth or non-stick applique sheet.  Preference of author is Aurifil 50 wt thread in gray, white, or black and size 70 sharps needle.  Mats and Rulers will be available if you don’t want to purchase. Special tool 16 ½” square ruler is optional.
