Evening Storytime is a chance for families to unwind together at the end of a busy day. Featuring stories, songs, and movement activities that support early literacy skills and help foster a love of books and reading.

Family Storytime features stories, music, rhymes, and plenty of movement and fun! Activities such as talking, reading, playing, and singing all play an important role in early childhood development. After each session, parents and caregivers will have an opportunity to visit and swap information about parenting resources in the community.

5th Annual Turkey Trot @ Elk Creek Conservation Area

FORKS COMMUNITY HOSPITAL TURKEY TROT

Run or walk through beautiful Elk Creek Conservation Trail in Forks WA

When: Thanksgiving Day Thursday November 28th, 2019

Time: Sign ups start at 8:15am.
The race starts at 9am.

RAIN OR SHINE

Suggested $ 10 donation (but not required). Donations will go to United Way of Clallam County.

Awards/Medals for first 100 finishers.

This event is a fun family 5K run or walk .

Participate at your own risk. You are welcome to inspect the course ahead of time to ensure that you feel comfortable with the trail.

Elk Creek Conservation Trail is a lollipop-shaped course, and is hosted by Forks Community Hospital.

24th Annual SIORF Festival of Trees @ Rainforest Arts Center

Theme is  “Christmas through the eyes of a Child”

Soroptimists are busy planning our 2018 Festival of Trees event which will be held at the RAC.  Our Open House will be on Saturday, December 7th from 1-4:00 and will be open during Moonlight Madness from 7-9:00 p.m.. The event opens at 1:00 on Sunday, December 8th and auctioning starts at 2:00.  Our theme this year is “Christmas through the eyes of a Child.” We have 16 trees to auction and one to raffle. Our raffle tree theme is “A Pioneers Christmas.” We will also have 12 beautifully decorated wreaths to auction. We will be raffling 4 themed baskets as well. We are currently selling our wreaths and garlands. Soroptimist International of the Olympic Rain Forest (SIORF) is already thinking ahead to the wonderful holiday season in Forks and we hope you are too! The SIORF Festival of Trees has become a great tradition in Forks and it’s something that we all look forward to attending. Over the last nineteen years, it has become SIORF’s most important fundraiser and helps our club to provide local, hands on support within our own community.

We rely upon on your generous donations and attendance at the Festival of Trees to support a variety of service projects such as, local scholarships and grants, Forks Middle School programs and many important projects involving the betterment and support of children that live right here in our hometown.

” SIORF will conduct refreshment sales and a holiday silent auction during special event times as indicated. Various types of entertainment will be planned for the public enjoyment Saturday and Sunday.
