Phoenix Dragon Martial Arts is a family business established in 2010 in Port Angeles. It is run by David and Meghan Ventura, and daughter Ella. Together, they teach Jun Sa Hap-Ki-Do, a Korean style combat art that literally means “the way of coordinated power.” This self-defense martial art applies to both long- and close-range techniques for disabling an attacker. “Hap-Ki-Do emphasizes circular motion, non-resisting movements, and stresses control of one’s self as well as the attacker,” Meghan said.
