Forks History and More

The West End Historical Society and Forks Timber Museum announce that they will combine efforts for their monthly programs.

Every third Tuesday, these historical presentations will be brought to you at the First Congregational Church,  a short board meeting Timber Museum Board meets at 11:30 a.m. and the WEHS meeting starts at noon.

November’s program will be a presentation of some of the Historical Society’s old slide photographs from the late 1800s to mid-1900s.

December’s program will feature Lonnie Archibald talking about his new book, “Let’s Go Truckin,” with a book signing to follow.

Please come join us for these lively presentations and discussions. You are welcome to bring your own items to share and we encourage questions.

Sarge’s FarmStand Opening Day

North Olympic Regional Veteran’s Housing Network (NORVHN) is a 501©3 non-profit agency serving the homeless Veterans of Clallam and Jefferson Counties. NORVHN owns three housing projects located in Forks and Port Angeles including Sarge’s Place, a homeless Veterans shelter located in Forks, Washington. Sarge’s Place is creating a massive garden space across the street from the shelter where the Veterans will tend to the gardens, eat the produce and sell the overabundance to the public. They are also pairing up with local West End growers to sell their produce and products within the Farm-stand which will be selling vegetables, fruit, cut flowers, honey, Native American baskets and smoked salmon, jams, and handcrafted teas. The Farm-stand will be opening July 2, at the corner of Klahndike and Sol Duc Way in Forks.
