Family Storytime @ North Olympic Library System Forks Branch

Family Storytime

This story time series will take place Friday September 14 and every Friday through May 31, 2019

Family Storytimes feature stories, music, rhymes, and plenty of movement and fun! Activities such as talking, reading, playing, and singing all play an important role in early childhood development. After each session, parents and caregivers will have an opportunity to visit and swap information about parenting resources in the community.

Free Dance Lessons @ Forks Congregational Church

Free Dance Lessons!

Rainforest Council for the Arts will be sponsoring dance lessons February 22, and March 8 and 22. The lessons are held at Forks Congregational Church’s Fellowship Hall. Dancing begins at 7 p.m. and the lessons are free. No partner is necessary, and beginners are always welcome. Please join us.

LA FIESTA FAMILIAR

The Forks Branch Library of the North Olympic Library System (NOLS) will be offering a family storytime in Spanish at the Alder Grove Mobile Home Park in Forks. Fiesta Familiar will be held every Second Saturday at 1pm from October 13 through May 11.

Enjoy Spanish stories, songs, and games for children of all ages, as well as a snack. Sharing books and playing with children helps to increase early learning and reading development. Bring the whole family!

La Biblioteca de Forks del “North Olympic Library System” (NOLS) ofrecerá un evento familiar en español en el vecindario “Alder Grove Mobile Home Park” en Forks. La Fiesta Familiar se realizará cada segundo sábado del mes desde el 13 de octubre hasta el 11 de mayo a la 1pm.

Disfruten cuentos, canciones y juegos para todas las edades, con una pequeña botana. Compartir las maravillas de los libros y los juegos en familia ayuda a aumentar las destrezas de aprendizaje y lectura de los niños. ¡Traiga a toda la familia!

This two day event is a fundraiser for Forks High School students featuring a live auction of hundreds of items.

Items like cookies, pies, hand-made items from OCC, firewood, hunting trips, gift baskets, gift certificates and many more items. This is one of Forks’ most loved events!

This scholarship auction has been a tradition for the last 40+ years and has raised over a million dollars.

Forks History and More

The West End Historical Society and Forks Timber Museum announce that they will combine efforts for their monthly programs.

Every third Tuesday, these historical presentations will be brought to you at the First Congregational Church,  a short board meeting Timber Museum Board meets at 11:30 a.m. and the WEHS meeting starts at noon.

November’s program will be a presentation of some of the Historical Society’s old slide photographs from the late 1800s to mid-1900s.

December’s program will feature Lonnie Archibald talking about his new book, “Let’s Go Truckin,” with a book signing to follow.

Please come join us for these lively presentations and discussions. You are welcome to bring your own items to share and we encourage questions.

The museum board meetings and historical presentations are free and open to the public
