4-H FAMILY FUN NIGHT
4-H is bringing an evening of fun, games, and food for the whole family to the Forks Library on March 20 from 6-7:30 p.m. 4-H is a positive youth development program, and part of positive youth development is creating space for families to enjoy spending time together. Family fun night began in February in Port Angeles and we would like to continue to hold one monthly rotating around the county.
Sharah Truett, who attended in Port Angeles, said “We had a wonderful time eating, socializing, and playing games. Our little girl was all smiles and fell fast asleep when the night was through!”
You can learn more about 4-H in Clallam County on our website:Clallam.wsu.edu/4H. WSU Extension programs and employment are available to all without discrimination. Evidence of noncompliance may be reported through your local WSU Extension office.

Soroptimist International of the Olympic Rain Forest Invites Public to Informational Meeting
Soroptimist International of the Olympic Rain Forest (SIORF) will present information about the local Soroptimist club, and the national organization to which they belong, at the Congregational Church fellowship hall on Thursday, March 21, starting at 6 p.m. The public is invited to come and learn more about their activities. Coffee and cookies will be served, and members will be available after the presentation for any one-on-one questions.
The Soroptimist members help support individuals and families in the Forks Community. Many of you may have been helped by one of their projects. But few may realize the full scope of work carried out by this organization – here in Forks and around the world. Here is your chance to find out, and perhaps consider membership yourself.

“Wascana’s Amazing Journey”
Brenda Carlsen will be reading her published book “Wascana’s Amazing Journey” at 10 a.m., Friday, March 22 at the Forks library. Children and adults welcome!
“Wascana’s Amazing Journey” is about a Canada Goose whose wing becomes injured while flying south for the winter with his family and friends. What will he do? What happens to Wascana?
An enlightening story for all about friendship, compassion, healing, kindness, empathy, and letting go. Oh yes, and it is really funny too!
This is a story for all those who gaze up to the sky whenever they hear geese and their familiar HONK HONK.
Later in the day from 2-7 p.m. Brenda will be signing and selling books at Forks Outfitters.
