Town Hall Meeting @ Rainforest Arts Center
Sep 4 @ 5:30 pm

Rep. Derek Kilmer plans town hall meetings including one in Forks, as well as a telephone town hall, in the coming weeks. Kilmer, D-Gig Harbor, represents the 6th Congressional District which includes the North Olympic Peninsula.

The town hall meeting in Forks will be at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 4 at the Rainforest Arts Center, 35 N. Forks Ave. The door will open 30 minutes before the meeting begins.

It is the only meeting planned this round on the Peninsula. Kilmer held town hall meetings earlier this year in Port Angeles and Quilcene.

The telephone town hall will be at 5 p.m. Sept. 9.

Residents of the 6th District who would like to join the call can send an email to kilmer.teletownhall@mail.house.gov with their names, addresses, and phone numbers by Sept. 8.

Those who sign up before the deadline will receive a phone call on Sept. 9 inviting them to the telephone town hall, Kilmer said.

“I work for the people I represent and it’s important to me that I get opportunities to hear directly from you,” Kilmer said.

“I hope folks will be able to join one of my upcoming town halls to share their ideas and concerns.”

Other town hall meetings are planned Aug. 26 in Westport, Aug. 29 in Kingston and Sept. 3 in Gig Harbor.

Doors open 30 minutes prior to the start time.
