Dungeness Courte Memory Care

September 25th, 2017 by Lissy Andros

Dungeness Courte Memory Care has been open since August 2, 1999 proudly service the community providing excellence in dementia care.  We provide a friendly, home-like setting for our residents and their families.  Health care is integrated into the daily routine allowing residents to have the support they need without focusing extensively on nursing services.

Freedom of movement and choice are the cornerstones of our innovative programming.  Experienced staff members carefully assess the needs of each person and design individualized care plans identifying the help needed, while maintaining independence as much as possible.  Our staff takes the time to learn important lifestyle routines for each resident.  Knowing details like food preferences, favorite activities and typical sleeping patterns helps us to emphasize people’s strengths and capabilities.

Family is an integral part of our community, providing us with the history that helps us weave life patterns into the care plan.  When you place your loved one with us we will take care of their needs and you can just enjoy their company.  Families are welcome to visit and encouraged to participate in whatever activities are happening.

May 24th, 2012 by contributor

The Sequim Lavender Festival® celebrates its 17th year in the heart of Sequim and in the surrounding Dungeness Valley, during the July 19-21 weekend.  Solely produced and managed by the member-growers of the Sequim Lavender Growers Association™, the Lavender Festival will expand its production to include activities and regional attractions for the modern family and multi-aged visitors.

The growers most responsible for the success and heritage of the festival will be showcased and made available all weekend through a self-guided and free “U-Tour” attraction.  With a map in hand, visitors may leisurely drive at their own pace and visit the smallest and largest lavender farms located in the Lavender Capital of North America®.  Lavender themed gifts and fresh cut bouquets will be available for purchase.  As always, admission, advice and fragrance at the farms are FREE.  Additional regional attractions will be highlighted on the map.

The most community-spirited Lavender Festival Street Fair in this part of the world occurs on Fir Street.  Admission is FREE. Visitors will be surrounded by three days of continuous musical entertainment and greeted with the fragrance of the Sequim lavender brought to you by the local growers. A talented group of artists, jewelers, photographers and “craft smiths” will showcase their products for purchase.  A custom car show and quilters conference will round out your visit.

Free parking and shuttle service for the Street Fair will be offered at convenient locations to accommodate every need.
